BIENVENIDOS A LOS ANGELES

Inspired by a true story
Filmed on Location in Los Angeles
and at LAX International Airport

Oscar Shortlisted for Best Live Action Short Film, 96th Academy Awards, Bienvenidos a Los Angeles has screened at over 60 festivals worldwide and won 23 accolades, including Diversity in Cannes Short Film Showcase, sponsored by Viola Davis. Based on a true story, the film humanizes the complex immigration issue and asks, "what would you be willing to risk to help a stranger in need?"

Inspired by true events, the film tells the timely story of Imani, a Nigerian single mother living in Los Angeles, who offers to help a perfect stranger reunite with her son. In doing so, Imani learns this simple act of kindness threatens to jeopardize her path to citizenship.
